I get so excited around Thanksgiving and Christmas. The thought of families coming together and making time for each other unlike any other time in the year warms my heart. Now that my parents have moved away this brings special meaning into my life. We no longer can see each other whenever we want, we have to plan and travel to see each other. This brings a whole new appreciation to family gatherings.
It has been awhile since I last blogged. Things are going well in our life and are going to be very different now that we are going to have a baby. My doctor's appt went well and my second round of bloodwork came back higher than normal which is a good thing. Mine and Chad's parents are so excited they can hardly contain themselves! It is fun to watch them already transitioning into 'grandparent' mode. My dad wants to be called Papaw like his dad was and my mom wants to be called Gigi (her name starts with a G and I think Gigi is adorable)! The verdict is still out on what Chad's parents want to be called, but I assure you they are thinking about it.
After the Preds game last night, we came home and just had to watch the Biggest Loser. I didn't comment last week, but that was the dumbest move of the whole season fro Amy C. not to vote off Vicki. In fact, I don't even feel that bad for Amy C. because she really kind of did herself in last night for keeping Vicki around. I really like Amy C. I think she is adorable, but naive and should have kept the mentality of thinking for herself. O well, Amy looks fantastic and there is still another week for Vicki to go home and not be in contention for the grand prize. Let's hope that is the case.
I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving and the time with your families and friends. Travel safe and don't forget to make some good memories with your loved ones!!
